HERN Launches Two New Toolkits on HIPxChange

Health Experiences USA LogoThe Health Experiences Research Network (HERN) has launched two new toolkits on HIPxChange:

HERN brings patients’ voices to American health care as a non-commercial, non-profit group, part of an international movement (DIPEx International) to share patient stories. HERN is comprised of multiple committees that advocate to bring real information on the experience of health and illness from a wide range of patients.

The Catalyst Films about Health Experiences: Long COVID in Primary Care toolkit includes a catalyst film which summarizes findings from research about patients’ and community members’ experiences with long COVID and resources for patients with long COVID and their clinicians. Together these materials, along with a facilitation guide and evaluation plan, compose an educational intervention for primary care that is intended to spark conversation and catalyze change in health care.

The Health Experiences Catalyst Films: Smoking, Cancer, and Tobacco Cessation toolkit includes a catalyst film which summarizes findings from research about diverse patients’ experiences with smoking, cancer, and tobacco cessation at C3I cancer centers. The toolkit also includes materials to guide this film’s use with various audiences.
