Dr. Edmond Ramly has been named one of the 2021 ICTR-CAP Stakeholder & Patient Engaged Research Pilot Awards for his Addressing disparities in the primary care of chronic conditions in the COVID-19 era: A tool for clinics to map local barriers to known strategies project.
The grant’s objective is to engage diverse stakeholders with a patient advisory board and a healthcare advisory board in co-designing the Adapting Guideline Implementation to Local Environments (AGILE) tool. Using a novel systems engineering approach, this grant addresses a critical need for primary care clinics to have access to configurable tools for addressing the unique barriers to equitably implementing cardiovascular disease prevention guidelines. This is especially timely given rapid changes in health care delivery including urgent telehealth expansion, which will likely outlast the pandemic.
Congrats Dr. Ramly!
